Organic Apricot Kernel Oil: Deeply nourishing and particularly useful in soothing inflamed skin, including psoriasis (1). Our apricot kernel oil is intended to help prevent damage caused by any level of inflammation – visible or not.
Organic Carrot Seed Oil: Especially high in Provitamin A, (1) along with B Vitamins, Vitamin C, flavonoids and terpenes, wild organic carrot seed oil has been shown to be anti-bacterial in nature and particularly useful for acne-prone skin. This nourishing oil has both anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties (2,3), which help to minimize breakouts without creating dependency.
Fun Fact: Commercial products that dry the skin often have quick results. However, dependency on them can be a problem due to the rebound of excess oil production as soon as the product is not used. The body naturally attempts to balance the dryness by producing even more oil and at a more rapid rate (4) – as dried-out tissues have less circulation, are more vulnerable to infection, and are not youthful or healthy. In essence, the therapeutic effect of drying is more of suppression rather than supporting healthier skin.
